You need no ticket to make a place for yourself here where humor, black and otherwise, comes to you from the stage where the human comedy itself is being played, its performance trumping the things dark and tragic and found in the world of literature.
Judith Regan -- Nobody's Girl FridayRon Hogan, a New York based blogger and half of Galleycat at mediabistro.com, is the latest writer to become a part of a story he has to cover, kind of like a throwback to Tom Wolfe and Hunter Thompson.
The story? The firing of uber-editor Judith Regan by Rupert Murdoch. (The story seems to begin with the "ill-considered" O.J. Simpson book project, but there is a well-woven tangled web that should be interesting to untangle for anyone who likes to follow a story to the truth...if it can be found.)
Will Mr. Hogan, a hardworking journalist by all accounts, survive if he is forced to swim with the sharks?
I'll be watching with interest.
